At Christ Church Jebel Ali we want to be a prayerful community

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask,we know that we have what we asked of Him.”

1 John 5:14-15

Some of us learned how to pray as children – for others this came to us later in life – and more still struggle with how to simply talk to the Lord on a regular basis. At Christ Church Jebel Ali we really want to be a ‘prayer full’ church – and that means each one of us learning how to pray regularly (the bible says ‘unceasingly’ in 1 Thessalonians 5:17) for our world, our countries, our church, all of the people who do not yet know Jesus as their Saviour, and for ourselves.

We try to teach this to the children that attend Friday School at CCJA – and we also hope that through a variety of intercessory prayers in our services, our church members will also be encouraged to grow their prayer lives. But we all know that this is not something that somebody else can do for you! So here are a few online resources which we hope will help you to develop and strengthen your prayer life:

Contact us and get involved!Help us to lead prayer during the services!
Do you feel called to help lead prayer? Is it something you would like to learn more about and develop your skills as an intercessor? If you do why not consider joining our team of prayer leaders, participating in our regular worship services on Fridays and Sundays – click on the ‘Get Involved!‘ right now.
Contact us and get involved! Will you pray for someone?
Prayer is the strongest tool we have to deal with everything that life throws at us – and as a church we want to be there when people have needs, worries and concerns, so that we can raise them up to the Lord. If you feel led to serve the church family in this way, click on the ‘Get Involved!‘ right now.

And if you have a special prayer need then please, share it with someone.  Ask the Chaplain after the service to pray for you, or one of the worship team, or the reader, or others that have helped served communion – please don’t be afraid to search out prayer partners in our church.
