Christ Church Jebel Ali is the southernmost of five churches in the Chaplaincy, sort of half way between Dubai and Abu Dhabi depending on how you measure it (in time or miles).
Like other Anglican Churches in the Gulf we share our building with others so they can worship legally and at present we have over 30 congregations using our building, worshipping in 16 languages.
We have Anglican services in English on Friday mornings at 9.30am with five Friday School groups for the children and a special children’s pew sheet – it’s a Morning Prayer service on the 2nd and 4th Fridays and Communion on the others. We also have a Communion service every Sunday evening at 7.30pm.
There are a number of bible study and home groups meeting in different places, a community group (COGs) that tries to (and is very successful at) recycling hotels lost property to those who can use it, and if you’d like to join the choir they rehearse every ‘Thursday evening and before the service on Fridays.
We are open to new ideas and want to witness to the saving grace of God which we have found through Jesus Christ. Like salt in the stew, we want to do our bit to be part of the fabric of what makes Dubai good, drawing people closer to God and helping them to live well, alive to the Spirit of God.
We look forward to seeing you at Christ Church!

Reverend Canon Stephen Wright
Chaplain
